Don't see SET SIMULATION POSITION
« on: November 13, 2013, 01:01:26 PM »
I can't bring up the SET SIMULATION POSITION option when I'm in the sim mode. I have the navionics card in. I also don't always see the map of a lake I know exists (when I'm fishing), when I'm trying to edit data at my home.

I dream of things that never were, and ask why not?

Are you in Advanced Settings Mode?  I haven't checked on new softwares, but should be there.

You are correct Robert; the Set Simulation Position menu will not be shown unless the User Mode menu setting is on “Advanced”.

Not sure why you would not always see the make map.  Can you give us a little more detail on what you are doing when the map disappears.
Is the lake actually on the Navionics mapping card?
Which mapping card (including year model) do you have?
Do you have another mapping card in the unit at the same time?
What is the Chart Select menu setting?

I didn't realize that the Advanced Setting had been changed.

So now I have 2 898c. Both navionics cards work fine on one unit but not on the other unit in sim mode.

Do they work okay in that unit when it is running on your boat on the water?

Yea, I was going to mention that.
