Topic: Views Flashing

I was out for the first time yesterday. I noticed that when I was scrolling through the Views. The screen was flashing when I switched between the Chart/Side Imaging View and the Down Imaging/Side Imaging View. It did when I hit the exit button to back up as well. Hit the button a second time and it straightened out. Any one experience this. I am just starting to learn this 998 and I love it other than that. Suggestions?

I  have not put the 6.180 upgrade in yet. Thanks

You might want to check all of your connections to be
sure they are good and tight.
You could have some vibrations that are loosening things up.

It also wouldn't hurt to charge up your battery and load test it.

     I had a similar problem with my 998. The DI screen would flash when that page was displayed either by View/Exit or preset #2.
     At the same time the quality of the SI display on the unit went to unreadable.( deep or shallow ).  2D was fine.     
     Returned unit, including transducer, to HB ($40.00 shipping and insurance ). Report-- No problem found-- updated software to 6.18. $65.00-- thank you. 
     Since the units return I've recorded about 5 hours-- so far, so good.

I updated to 6.18 yesterday and it seems to have solved it. I haven't been on the water yet but doesn't flash in the garage.
