I can't seem to get my 1198 to network with my 958. I've been through all the trouble shooting with humminbird customer service now they want me to send the units in. It's going to cost me over $820.00 if I send the units to humminbird. This is outrageous. They used to network fine until I started with the updates. The 6.180 update is when the problem started. I realize the units are five yrs old but I have over 3k in humminbird electronic and accessories and this is how you're treated. So much for trying to buy USA manufactured products. Sorry for the rant. Does anyone have any ideas as what I could try. I think I've probably been through all the troubleshooting possible but thought someone out there may have been through the same issue. No IP address shows up on either unit. Both units updated to latest software. Try 2 different ethernet cables. Did the restore default several times. I still think it's a software issue but can't get any help from humminbird unless I send them the units along with $820.00.
