1199ci HD SI and 898c SI
« on: April 05, 2015, 03:02:42 AM »
Can the 1199ci HD SI be connected to the 898c SI? I fish mainly for bass. I was thinking about buying the 1199ci HD SI and putting it next to my dash where I steer the boat and putting the 898c SI up front by my trolling motor. Can these units use the same transducer and will they be able to communicate with each other? Also I am seeing that the 1199 has a built in gps receiver can both units work of one?

Yes, once Ethernet connected these two units can share the same transducer and GPS Receivers (whether it be the external like the 898 or the 1199's internal GPS Receiver).  Since these are both Si model units they will be able to share 2D and Si sonar along with waypoint data.
