Topic: Minn Kota US2 Sensitivity

I currently have an 898 on the bow (swapped it with a 788) and am using the US2 in my Fortrex. I've noticed that the 2D sonar images are now where near as good as what you get with the side imaging transducer (I'm comparing them to my 1198 at the console). I fish lake Ontario a lot for big smallies and wont see fish on the front graph, go to run to a different spot, look at the 1198 and see arches all over. Even the bottom image isn't nearly as strong or sharp as that on the 1198. I've selected US2 in the setup and tried changing settings but cant get the performance I'm looking for. Does anyone else notice the same? Any settings I should try to get better performance? I really dont want to mount a transducer and have cables running up my trolling motor.
