Topic: part of screen distorts and goes black

hello all,
I have a 997 and has worked flawlessly until the other day.  After boot up, the right side of the screen (about 2 inches) will distort and sometimes go black.  I have reset to the default and this does nothing.  Is the screen going bad?
I have only updated one time and that was to get the down imaging so it has been a while.  Would an update possibly fix or what?

By “the right side of the screen (about 2 inches)” does this mean only the right Si sonar data when in a split screen view or is this regardless of what View is being used?

If it is not View dependent, than it sounds like something in the display is going.  You could try updating the unit but I do not think that will help.
