I added the high speed transducer on the helix 9 mega SI. Worked great for a couple trips. Good depth readings on plane. I was looking at a lake map on the unit in the garage a couple nights ago. I accidentally left the unit on overnight in the garage. That night on the water the unit would give no depth info. Nothing at all—like depth wasn’t an option. It had speed and temp and time. Talked to my friend who is the electronics rigger in the area. He said I probably overheated the transducers, and they were shot. He gave me an idea to restore the factory defaults and reconnect the transducers. No luck. We figured i needed 2 new transducers. Not cheap. I went out a couple more times with no depth readings which you really miss. Suddenly tonight i was on the lake and 2D, SI, and DI all worked. Go figure. I have 2 transducers on order. I’m not sure what to do. Will this resurrection last? Should I replace the high speed TD as I’m to Lake Kabetogama in Northern MN which is rocky and new to me to save a lower un it or prop potentially? Another thought is that he raised to Mega TD to eliminate the rooster tail, which it did. Maybe the Mega is doing all the work and the high speed dual frequency TD is dead. I know, long-winded question. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks, Sam
