Suggested Upgrade: 
Auto Retract of AS-360 on Shallow Water
Explanation: 
Add an option to auto retract on a given minimum depth as recorded from the 360 unit itself.  This would protect the unit from shallow water as the moment it reads the minimum depth it would retract at the same speed as when you select it on the control unit.

Golly, wonder how I came up with this one!
