Topic: SI transducer location

New hummingbird 898 SI owner. I have a ranger 519 05 model. Does anyone have any experience mounting the TD just above the drain plug. Have seen some install picss like this, but very few people saying if it gives a good reading there. Don't have jack plate and motor will block SI at the location recommended by HB. Thanks for any and all info.
