Topic: 998 take advantage of compass on hd gps puck?

Sorry for all the questions for an old unit but I have not been able to find the answers elsewhere.

I am wanting to use an external puck mounted directly over my transduce on the bow of my yak. I see the better antenna/receiver has a directional compass, but cannot figure out if the 998 will take advantage of it or if the data from it would be stored with the 2d data used by autochart pro.

Any input/advice appreciated.   Phill
