If you have a map card or memory card in the unit try taking it out and see if the unit will power up and work right or not. If not, try re-downloading the software and try updating it again. If that doesn't help try loading the software with the boot-strap method. It's been a long time since I did that and i am not at work today, so you will have to search the site for directions on how to do it. If it won't, than you will need to send it in to Humminbird to be fixed. 1-800-633-1468
