New unit to link?
« on: February 03, 2014, 08:53:05 PM »
Hi.  I just took advantage of the sales and ordered a 1198c si.  Great deals out there.  Anyway I now have a 898c si.  I plan to move the 898 to the trolling motor and link it with the 1198 on console.  I am moving the gps pucks one on bow and one on rear gunnel closer to the actual transducer.  Now I realize I can link by Ethernet the two units.  Do I still need two navionic chips, one for each unit? These units mounted on a Lund 1850 Tyee.

Still need two map cards.  Unit will share pretty much everything else, but the map cards cannot be shared between units.
