Topic: Unit Settings???

Hey guys,

Waiting for ice out so I can get my 998c HD SI set up.  My question is this. My boat will never see a lake outside of when I dial in my unit.  I ONLY fish the rivers.  If I go out to a LAKE to dial in my unit, will those settings transfer well when I fish the river.

Catfish a lot of our lakes down here in TN have large feeder creeks and some of them I would call river size that run for miles.  The unit works great in those areas as did on lake.  The main changes I make is in reference to Sen. due to the lake having mud and the river having a lot of rock bottom until I hit large areas of slow wide water.

I run 455 up in there more so than 800 due to shallower water too.

Hook it up and start playing with it, have fun and ask Q.  With your down time you'll have plenty of time to get used to it before going out.
