Hi Wizzo,
now I even know how the bottom at the bridge looks like
.
I drove underneath the bridge in 1992, when I had the chance to take a trip from Rudee's Inlet to Norfolk Harbour. What a ride!
Best wishes
Harry

thanks harry
This is the bridge between the eastern shore and western shore near annapolis. Your thinking of the bridge tunnel from maryland to virginia. In the pic you can see a couple squares to the lower left. that is the bridge pilings the object to the right is the one i want to dive. It's about 300 feet south of the bridge. Looks like a wreck to me. They use to wire drag wrecks that posed a hazard to navigation to get them broken up. I'm suspecting that is the case here. Seems to be too far from the bridge to be construction debre.

This one you can clearly see to the mid lower right the base for one of the bridge supports.
There was alot of boat traffic out and the boat was rocking as you can see. Wish i could figure out how to put the transducer on a tow fish.

Cool shots Wizzo,
but rocky seas as it looks like.
You're right, I meant the Bridge further South.
The object which looks like a wreck on your first picture is worth to be further investigated. The tipped end is quite characteristic for a wreck which is sunk into the mud. Let us know what you find out about it.
Regards

Here is a capture taken yesterday while trying to find a sunken barge. I need to bone up on my go to optionfor way points, To be able to find an exact locsation marked... This is a channel marker. You can see the chain in the middle left. I think all the other stuff is from current around the base. Did not dive yesterday.

My buddy mounted his Humminbird on a jet ski. Here is a pic with the PVC towfish he made.

Wizz, I see your concern for a towfish. Cheaper might be to lower the transducer instead of towing. Lowering can be done by mounting the ducer on a trolling motor shaft (standalone and using a mount especially for the shaft. (johnny ray ) makes this mount. We use a 6 foot shaft on ours and on the water with waves we can put the transducer about 3 feet under water. Makes the picture clearer. You can build a bracket to hold the shaft and make it adjustable. this will take the lines out of the pictures you posted.
Some of the pictures do show the effects of wire dragging.
The bridge piers are a good spot to look for fish also. So nice that HB has the SI to show this structure.

SI shows some great pictures. Here is a 4 x 4 concrete block 2 foot high used for a dock anchor.
You can see where the block was dragged during a high wind storm.
