I try to find out - what is wrong with me or with Autochart.

Just started AutochartPro(i have huge Drdepth experience with HUM, LOWR and mobile devices).

Imported files from DrD to Autochart. Easily NICE:) Imported waypoints - cool... nice program.

Made maps. Played with depth, hardness etc... Nice. Recognized everything from DRD and no questions

BUT.... then I decided to make nice custom map of 7 km large lake and check the new look on my HUM. Did not manage Got replay from AutoChart, that "The New area did not fit inside.... bla bla bla...". OK. Rename AC folder, now ON SD card I have AC and AC1 folders. AND? Same replay

Keep trying, reading manuals several times, no solution, no changes.

Finally deleted all *.acd files from database, imported just one, single... small... tiny track. NO!!! I can make the map, but cannot create lakemaster map for HUM. Getting: "Error. The new area did not fit inside the current custom map. See the Getting started guide for instructions..... bla...bla..bla..."


I see only 2 reasons- 1. The AutochartPro purchased in USA do not work in EU or - 2.nd - I cannot find that magic way of "New area creation " , too complicated

Has anybody replay to help get out from this story? What I am doing wrong?

AC is purchased in USA, a month ago.

Renaming the folder to AC1 is the only fix that I know of.  You may have to email the Humminbird Customer Service folks about this.  It should have nothing to do with your geographical location and version of AutoChart used.

Thank you, Greg, I hope that I have not pruchased Unusefull programm. I did send request to Humminbird service already. Will reprt about solution.

Do not buy Autochart outside your region, zeroline card will not match and you will need to buy regional one.

HB placed  a demo within the program in minnesota somewhere...
 if anyone tries this demo then tries to initialize a map of their own data  that is not within 1000km of the
original demo  u  will get this problem.
as greg says I think the only way to fix it is to rename the file
PS: the software  would have been better off without a demo as this screws up  everyone who tries autocharts   with demo file

Dave, this time solution is different.

The problem was Zeroline Card. It took me 2 and 1/2 month to clear that problem with Humminbird support On Card is written - North America. It is not working in Europe. I did buy useless zeroline card together with AutochartPRO. Will sell to anyone who gives more than 32Gb empty card value

Humminbird sellers still do not inform customers, that regions are different and american card do not work in Europe. Try on amazon.com and you will not get any specs.

Therefore - greetings to Humm people - you are nice cash guys... That's for my extra 120 EUR

By the way - you knowthat there is plenty of Autochart porgramm sets with SD zeroline card? Even retailers do not know that many sets of ACPRO are coming with SD and just some with Micro SD zeroline card. And now imagine that you are Helix5 SI happy owner with just purchased Autochart PRO for 270 EUR   Not in a shop like in USA, but ordering from internet, waitng one week delivery, paying for transportation...

I did change from MinnKota Riptide to Motorguide Xi5 and lost I-pilot link functionality. Looks like next will be raw Onix10SI which I will replace with easy working HDS gen3. New Insight Genesis offer is working without problems and many public maps with high functionality.

I am getting the same problem. AutoChart purchased in USA, using it in UK.
I get the same error, even if the AutoLine card is not in the PC.
Question: When you install AutoChart, does the software on the PC have some stamp that says it's North America?
