Topic: 597ci HD DI Network

Hi,

I am looking to replace existing bow mount 200Dx with a 597ci HD DI.  Can I reuse existing 200Dx mount for head unit and transducer cable?  Also have a  798ci Si unit purchased around 2008.  Can the 597 and 798 be networked?  If so what is required and will both sonar and gps information be transferable?

Yes you can use the same unit mount from your 200DX with your 597ci HD DI unit but you will have to replace the connector collector parts (plastic and metal) that are used to hold the cable connectors in place as the design of this has changed.  If you do use the same unit mount you will also have to use the same two screws that held the connector collector parts in place as we have used several different screw designs over the years.

The 597ci HD SI unit (and all 500 series units) cannot be networked to any other unit.
