Topic: 955c software

Hey guys.  Longtime lurker, first time poster.

I recently acquired a 955c to interlink to my 798ci, but I am now finding out that the latest software for the 955 is 4.95.  I am pretty disappointed that Humminbird left this model in shambles and hasn't bothered updating it, especially when its nearly identical to other models that ARE getting updated. 

I think I could downgrade my 798 back to 4.98, but it appears there are all sorts of bugs and issues with interlink on that software version.

My questions are these -- is there any way to put 957c software on the 955c?  Is there any way to get someone at Humminbird to care enough to at least update the interlink functionality on the 955c?
