Topic: Navionics Hotmaps Explorer?

I just bought this cd and i'm not sure what all i can do with it. I have the southern region chip for my 998 and have been real happy with it. I think this may be a waste of money though. Should I use the cd with the sd card or can i use the cd by itself and get the same detail? i'm confused.....plus the "vivid" 3D map is not vivid or 3D at all.
