Topic: SD card getting hot, like real hot

I bought a lakemaster map card this winter and used it on my ice helix 9 with no issues all winter. Today I went to put it in my helix 12 and as soon as I powered up, smoke started coming out of the slot. I shut it down and the SD card was melted a bit where the micro goes in. What would cause this? I tried both card slots and same result.

I think that your SD card was defective, it's just electronics Hopefully the card slot of the Helix's 12 survived.
