Can I bring the unit in the house to perform upgrades?

Hi , I was wondering if you can bring the 898cSI into the house and connect directly to the PC for updates?

If you have 2 units, can you put the software for both units in the same SD Card?  Will the units know the difference?

Also, I have seen that I should use a smaller SD card for updating programming on the units?  Is this right?

I would not do this as we have had some reports of this not working correctly.  I would only have the single software update needed for one unit at a time on the memory card.

A smaller memory card can be used as the updates are not that large.  I still use a 16MB MMC card (don’t laugh as it still works!) to update my units.

Definately only put on one update at a  time on an card.
The unit loading can get quite confused if a particular update is on the card that is not for the unit...
