Topic: 987c Upgrade Issues

I am trying to upgrade a 987c for the first time.  I downloaded the image from the downloads section onto a MSD/SD card and inserted into the unit after doing a factory restore.   It doesn't do anything.  I don't know what I am missing, its formatted FAT32 and the file name is exactly the same as the downloaded file name.

What brand, size and type MSD/SD memory card is this?
If you have old enough software still on the 987 unit it may require an SD (versus SDHC) type memory card to update it.

It will not take an SDHD chip. Must go old school SD.

SDHC memory card support was added to the 987c Si unit is software version 3.740
Any software version after that should work with the SDHC type memory cards.  If yours is not; try fully (not Quick) reformatting the memory card and try it again.
