Topic: Improvements to 998 for 2011

Has HB announced any improvements for the 998 for 2011?

For next year, I want to buy a 998 for the console and move my 898 to the bow.  I assume that I can use the bracket and existing  transducers (si & 2d)for the 998 that I already have mounted for the 898.  Then I can take the 998 bracket and mount it on the bow and mount the 998 si transducer on the trolling motor for the 898.  Does anyone see any problems?

The 898 and 998 can be swapped out for each other as they use the mounting brackets, cables and accessories.  I have not heard anything about improvements for the 898 or 998 units for 2011.  If there are any changes I imagine that they will be in the form of software downloads.  So any 898/998 unit you have now will be able to load and use them.
