MSRP?
« on: January 11, 2013, 05:25:27 PM »
As I have said in a few posts, I am going to go for a 798.
There are several boat / sportsman shows coming up in my area in the next few months.
On the tail end of that list is a show that will have a HB booth.

My question is,, do you think a better deal might be gotten there? Or is the HB booth more likely going to stick to the MSRP prices?

Thanks,

I would look at dealers both locally and on the internet. And get a good idea of MSRP - dealer discount. Then compare the prices at the show. Large dealers buy bulk from HB and can offer a MSRP discount due to shear volumn. I owuld shop around prior to the show..

Yeah I have a number in mind.
But what do you think the HB booth will be doing?
Will they be strictly msrp or will they have show prices?

I dont know how they handle that for a show. the last couple I went to were the MSRP.
but it might depend on the show itself...
At least you have a figure to compare and know if you are getting a deal.

I was not aware that we sold units at the shows.  The ones I worked (many years ago) were just that: a show (no sales).  I would think that if they did it would have to be at MSRP.  Dealers/retailers may do otherwise.

The list of venders shows a booth "Humminbird"

I thought it would be cool to purchase it direct.
But not cool enough to pay msrp.

I don't want to buy the cart before the horse but I just saw an XTM 9 HDSI 180 T TM ducer like $100 cheaper than list.

Check your prices closely and then you will know the best deal.  Some of the larger retail dealers can offer a better deal than MSRP due to bulk volumn..
Be an informed shopper is the guide..
