Topic: Humminbird PC and Win7

Well let me say that this my first post on the site.  I just registered last night and have been reading posts for about 4 hours.  This site is awesome!  I really enjoy the feeling of community with all the help and suggestions that I see.  On that note, I am going to offer up a little piece of help to anyone having trouble installing Humminbird PC Version 4.1.8 on Windows 7.  First, I run Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit).  I had a problem installing HBPC at first.  I was getting a WriteLog Install error.  This had me puzzled for a few minutes.  I tried it in various windows compatibility modes to no avail.  After a short break (coffee and a snack) I took another look.  The light bulb came on plane as day with the answer staring me right in the face.  Here is the help:

1.  Download Humminbird PC 4.1.8 to your DESKTOP!
2.  Run installer from there.

After it finished installing I now have a fully working program in Windows 7 (64bit).  I hope that this will help anyone in the future so they don't have to pull their hair out while trying to figure it out.
