Topic: 1198 LED Backlight

Are there any technical guru's on here? I mean Electronic guru's!

I have an 1198 SI in parts on my workbench, I have fixed one fault but I think I have issues with the LED Backlight. There is voltage being applied to it  but the brightness does not change.

The Voltage varies from 1.2V down to 0.4 V when I vary the Back Light setting.

I am one frustrated electronic technician, these days of throw way electronics is horrible. Bring back the days when you got the schematic with the goods!!

Any advice would be appreciated.
