sunken coal barge #1
found this sunken coal barge in the ky river, its 130 ft x30ft approx. capt. john donaldson (deceased) told me that they lost it up above lock 13 while locking through, it was full of coal and dumped the coal when it went over the dam. it traveled approx. 7 miles downriver before it stopped .

pig iron barge
found this sunken barge on the ky river. its a wooden pig iron barge that sunk around 1870, its full of iron pigs and sows from fitchburg furnace. still trying to find some divers interested in trying to recover some of the pigs and sows to donate to the recently restored furnace. anybody interested…
