Navionics Hotmaps Platinum (South)
« on: May 29, 2010, 03:29:21 PM »
I am running a 898 c SI Combo which has the lastest updates intalled.  I have purchased Navionics Hotmap Platinum (South).  My questions are:

1. Will all the possible views of the Platinum map be available by pressing "View"? If not how do you get additional views.  I have not found the "Panoramic Lake Photos" listed on the Navionics website.
2. Is there any way to enlarge the map lables, i.e. creek names?
3. Should there be any changes to the menu for "Chart" or "Navigation" when using this map?
4. If you have the Navionics mapping SD Card in the left SD slot and that slot selected as the primary will the unit automatically select the blank card in the right SD slot when taking snapshots or recording?
5. Is the Navionics card idiot proof so one can't overwrite or erase the map?
6. Which map view is the most useful and pratical when fishing?
7. I believe you can change map colors.  Which colors are the eaiest to "read"?
8. Are there any manuals or instructions specific to the 2010 Navionics Hotmaps Platinum?  I remember finding a manual on line for a 2007 version.
9. Can I view the Navionics map on my PC by simply inserting the card into the SD slot on my computer?
Additional suggestion, instructions, or help anyone can provide will be greatly appreciated. Thanks
