Topic: AGC for side imaging

hi everybody

rickie suggested me to post this here
does somebody know if it is possible to apply a variable gain in the side imaging to lighten the furthest returns ? (for helix of course)
i precise that increasing sensitivity should not be the solution because i think that it "lighten" all the sonogram
