We dont have the French version on this forum.
Hopefully one of the guys near you can send you the needed software.
I am not sure what HB has but your might send them email and ask for en electronic copy.  Then you can store it on your computer put it on an sd if you need it....

You should be able to download from the site based on your registration.. Make sure the code listed on the site is the same as what is in your unit.  HB generally only lists the most current code.
Hopefully they will be with yours..

I thought the same firmware version is used with domestic and international units. If the unit type is international it can be set up for a large number of languages, including french after upgrading.

Yes, it must an international model. The domestic model has no option for selection of language, according to the manual.

There are some of the International model units that have a different software download file but I think that the 798cXi HD Si model you have uses the same software updates as the domestic 798ci HD Si units.

Tell me what per units have different software, not to harm the device by downloading the firmware from this site?
Thanks.

Hi Didier

A lot of older versions of the firmware can be found here in the forum.

The language does not matter as long as it is the international version of the firmware.

Hi Rüdiger
I agree with you.
But I would like to know what units are not suitable. My question has unfortunately remained unanswered.
Tell me what per units have different software, not to harm the device by downloading the firmware from this site?
Thanks.

Link to the old device. It probably about this item

Excuse me for not replying sooner but I do have normal job duties that sometimes occupy my work time (I post on the boards when I have the time to do so – it is not a normal job duty) and I do have a life after work (I was teaching last night).

However, I do not track the software for the international units, so I couldn’t tell you which models have separate software.  Off the top of my head I can tell you that the Japanese version units have separate software but those are the only models that come to mind.

Greg your help on the forum is invaluable. Albeit sometimes answer is rare, but it's fine that a representative of the manufacturer here. Another example your employee Deborah forgot about this forum. Although the service was not there on a rebound. Of course, Japanese and Asian units have their firmware.

Deborah is in the same boat I am (posts on boards when other duties are completed).  I know that she is pretty busy this time of the year.
