I know how the switchfire mode works but what would be best to use. Switchfire max mode or clear mode.
I fish alot of water 5 feet and then I have it on max mode just to much cluter is on the screen. I set the cluter to 1 and lower the sensity way down and still there is cluter on screen And if I do get the cluter off then most liky the fish will not show.
Would it be best to use clear mode and but suface cluter on 5 or higher and set sensity around 10 or higer so I can pick up bass better.
Its like a rock in the hard place. Clear mode you get nothing on screen and max mode you get to much cluter. Just trying to find a good setting.
I would think I should use clear mode and I can set sensity higher and suface cluter on 5 so more bass and grass will show up better.
When you use max mode, you can't set the settings low anf... to get a clearener screen.
I hoe someone knows what I trying to say here ?

the cluter I am talking about is on the suface and down to along 4 or 5 feet on max mode.

I think the rule of thumb is 10' or less use clear mode.
Turn Fish ID on and turn the sensitivity up. See how this works for you.

Have you tried to set the upper range to two feet and eliminate the 1st several feet of surface. We have done that in shallow water and even more so in deeper water. You can get a lot of feedback in shallow water, especially is the water is not clear. Robert is correct in 10' or less use clear mode. Chuck
