Title: Shaded depth under the "Chart" menu
Post by: rnvinc on March 29, 2010, 05:57:08 PM
Default for this feature is 16 ft....

Changing this number does not actually change the shaded depth on my chart...

The chart "flashes" or "blinks" like it's going to change... but it stays at 16 ft....

I would really like to change this to the depth that I generally take my "30 minute stretch of water recordings"....

I do not have the NAV bundle..I use the 2010 model Premium East card....

Any ideas...??

I don't have the 2010 Navionics Cards, but mine changes with the 2006 charts on the 997c.

Maybe another issue with the 2010 cards.  HB is aware and is supposed to be coming out with an update to fix these issues.

One thing that you have to look out for with the Navionics cards are that the depth contour lines do not always line up with the data for water depth.  I have seen where a change in the Shaded Depth menu does not line up with the depth contour lines.  So something may actually be changing but not where you would expect it to.

Thanks rnvinc, that just confirms what we thought.  Guess I'll wait for a solution........but I won't hold my breath.
