Can I have two SI transducers mounted side by side? If yes, should they be X distance apart?
-
You need to clarify a little bit. Are you going to use the two separate ducers on two separate units at the same time. If so, are the two separate units the same make and/or model?
-
Two separate transducers. One is for a 598c HD SI and the other is for a 1199ci HD SI. I currently have the 1199 transducers mounted to trolling motor at the bow and the 598 transducer is mounted on the transom. I have a small mounting plate on the transom that can accommodate two transducers but they would be about 1 inch apart from each other.

The near side SI beam on each xducer will be blocked mounting 2 SI xducers at the same height ...
This is because the SI beam reaches all the way to water's surface on each side ...

There will also be crosstalk interference running 2 HB xducers at the same time because the 200kHz 2d beam cannot be shut off without completely shutting off the Sonar transmitters ...

Thanks for the reply. Based on your response, I'll keep the 1199 transducer at the bow and the 598 transducer at the stern.
