Finally got my 1198 to update with the help of you guys and gals (who would have thought the file name was the issue). Well one of you did and I thank you.
Anyhow my freshly updated 1198 now has issues it didn't have before. The presets won't save (have to reset them every time I power the unit on) and I can't get the unit to read waypoints from an SD card with points I uploaded from Hum PC/Google Earth. HELP
Second issue my 998 still won't update but it will read the SD card and waypoints I put in the unit.
HOWEVER, it doesn't load all of the waypoints... What's gives here? It says it doesn't have enough memory to support all the new points. Do I need to extract all the points off my unit to an SD card to free up some space? Upload all to PC then add my other points to the same SD and stick back in the unit? IDK
Thanks in advance

Did you Restore Defaults after the update on the 1199 ...??
-----
Did you get the update version for the 998 in your HB account listed under that unit's specific serial number ...??
-----
Do you know how many Waypoints you actually have in the 998 waypoint library ...?? (Max is 2750) ...

I did not restore the defaults after the 1198 update, however I tried this and the presets seemed to save now. THANKS
I tried updating the 998 again and it worked this time the serial numbers did match not sure what the deal was.
I also exported all the waypoints from both units to separate SD cards to see how many are on the units. I have not uploaded to Hum PC yet.
I will reply when I get everything organized in PC and after I try to test the units to see if each of them can read waypoints on the SD cards.
THANKS AGAIN
