Yesterday, I noticed I was getting nothing on 2D on my Onix10SI. Side imaging and SI worked fine, so I fished. Today when I started the unit, SI started but froze. Now I get no SI, downscan, or 2D. I have done a restore defaults. Still nothing. I talked to Humminbird and they suggested updating software. It has been a great unit and was working great, but something has happened. It should not be related to the software. Anyone seen this? Trouble shooting ideas? I have a friend with the same unit, and thought we could swap units to see if it is my unit (won't work on his boat) or my transducers (his won't work on my boat).

Cross testing with your friend is sometimes the easiest (and most efficient) way of troubleshooting ...
I would definitely suggest cross-test before updating software ...
