My 899 si isn't showing shadows at all or very well. I see the bright white streaks returns that should be fish, but i don't ever see these returns with shadows to confirm that they are fish. I thought at first it was due to having the smaller screen and I tried to use the zoom feature and then using the SI enhance, but all this will show me is a grainy white streak with no shadow. Additionally, in the multi screen view with 2d, DI, and, Si I can mark fish but can only see them on SI if they are directly under the boat. I have been using this unit for hybrids and striped bass and know there has to/should be more fish off to the sides with the fish schools. Is this a settings problem, the transducer not being leveled properly, or is this logs on the bottom? The lake I was getting these returns on is Allatoona Lake in N.W GA where the C.O.E raises and drops the lake level 14+/-ft every year, so logs and other debris gets moved around pretty regularly with the level changes.
I will try to get some pics up shortly. Thanks in advance.

It's possible your sensitivity could be too hot ..... Also, the higher the fish are in the water column, the farther the shadow will be away from the fish .....the pics will help.

I tried to pull up some of my recordings from my SD card. i must have deleted the past few times out where i saw these readings. I will record more pics the next I go out. however, I found this topic already posted. the marks that i see look similar to the first pic in this thread.
