changing them?
I purchased my boat in July of 2001.
I started with a Bottom Line sidefinder sonar.
Then, I went to a Lowrance LCX-111C-HD.
Then, to a Humminbird 1197c.
Then, to my current Humminbird 1198c.
I'm changing the transducer to an AIRMAR 2D, and I'm getting a 360ssi.
I don't much care for side-imaging, or down imaging.
I do my own installs, and I'm tired of changing/adding things.
Does anyone else feel the same way?

To answer the second part of your question, no, I don't get tired of it. Starting with the first glass boat I had in '83, I had no electronics on it. Added a LCR400 in '85. Upgraded to a Champion in '86-'87 and upgraded to the LCR 8000 (which I still have). Fast forward to '99 (life gets in the way sometimes). Put together a boat while in school in Orlando, FL that included a smaller Lowrance unit (forget the model). Sold the boat at the end of school. Bought a jon boat in '05 to fish around here in OH. Bought an Eagle 480 that I moved to the current boat I have (Odyssey 175LS). Just upgraded that to a Helix 7 and a 999. Sent the Eagle to my ex (daughter's mom who just got a jon boat for FL). Upgrading the MG 54# cable TM to a MK 80# Terrova with I-pilot Link.
Looking forward to getting it all set up when the weather gets warmer and I can take the boat apart without freezing.
I hadn't planned on doing all these upgrades to my current boat as I actually was thinking about selling it (was in a storage lot for almost three years). But once I got back out on the water I realized that would be a big mistake. Cabelas just opened a new store 5 miles away and I got to looking at the new Humminbirds. Kinda caught the bug as you can tell. But in the 2 1/2 months of using the Helix I learned more about the lakes I fish than I did in the 4-5 years I fished them regularly.
To me, upgrading can be a lot of fun. I know I will have some challenges ahead with RFI and what not but with all the info on the internet nowadays I have no doubt it will be easy.

" and are you tired of " No actually. In fact, I think I rather enjoy it. I started with a Lowrance "Green Box" and am currently at 2- 1199's and a 998. Along the way have been Lowrance, Humminbird, SiTex, BottomLine, Vexilar and Clearwater brands. Fourteen different units come to mind. I don't know what will be next, but I know there will be a next. The improvements are coming at a rapid rate. The units allow me to "see" the lake in a way I didn't think possible a few years ago.

I started with a Lowrance Green box in 1973, Sitex 357 Mag PAPER GRAPH , Eagle 9500 Loran combo with 2 transducerS, RAY jEFFERSON b&w VIDEO, LOWRANCE 350a gps, hUMMINBIRD mATRIX 97 , hUMMINBIRD 899si in 2015, AND NOW I'm LOOKING AT A Hummingbird Helix 10. It never gets old or boring.
