Title: Does anyone know where I can hire a real smart high school student?
Post by: Nela on October 10, 2015, 03:31:39 PM
New member who's been lurking for a few day's reading the past posts. Just bought a 899ci DI SI Combo and a 859ci DI Combo and just (almost) completed the installation. I have returned the transducer for the 859 unit to be replaced with a trolling motor mount and have ordered a "spring back bracket" for the 899 and just as soon as they are delivered I'll complete everything. I have plans to link the 2 units together but that will be a "later" project. Now, does anyone know of a good high school student with computer skills, in the Northeast Louisiana area, who I can hire to teach me to use these depth finders? I'm not new to depth finders as I have been a serious fisherman since the late '60s and have used many Humminbird and Lowrance units. I have been away from fishing for the past few years due to medical issues but am looking to get back into things. I have read almost everything posted concerning the Humminbird 859 and 899 units and it's a lot to absorb. Looking forward to getting out on the water and beginning my "schooling", Great site with a lotta information.
