Title: Convert 959 hd di to deep water with new transducer?

I have model 959 HD DI.. can I convert my unit to deepwater model with a new 50/200 khz transducer? I believe the transducer would be humminbird XNT 9 DB 74 T

The HB website seems to indicate this xducer is only compatible with the "XD" (Xtreme Depth) models ...

Dual Beam, 20/74 Degree, 200/50 kHz with built in temp for use with XD model products.
