Title: Onix Transducer Beam widths?
Post by: RonnieB on June 23, 2015, 10:57:29 PM
Trying to understand my beamwidths. Below is the descriptions from HB for the same transducer.

(XT 14 20 HDSI T)  HD SI, HD DI, Dual Beam, 20/60/90/180 degrees-  200/83/455/800khz

(ONIX)  HD SI, HD DI, Dual Beam, 20/60/75/45/(2)86/(2)55 degrees-  200/83/455/800khz

What degrees corresponds with which khz?

Those specs for the XT 14 20 HDSI T are incorrect ... The XT 14 20 HDSI T is the same xducer that comes stock with the Onix ...

200kHz 20°/83kHz 60° (2d)
455kHz 75°/800kHz 45° (dedicated DI)
455kHz (SI) - 2 @ 86° each/ 800kHz (SI) - 2 @ 55° each

Thanks Rickie, I built coverage table to put in my boat for quick reference. It would be nice if unit would display beam width on the screen  8)
