Title: 998 hd down imaging interference.
Post by: kerryd15 on June 16, 2015, 11:13:54 PM
i was out with a friend that has a 998 hd the side image works fine and the 2d works fine. The DI is all white lines across the screen. It didn't do this when we first went out. We basically shut everything off in the boat including trolling motor, the 958, live well. Nothing made it better. After they went home, they started it in demo mode and it still showed the lines. I will get a picture up when I can. When I changed screen views it would be clear, then the white would start scrolling across. Thanks for any help.

I'm no expert, but it may be a software bug related to the DI Sensitivity settings.
Try turning the DI Enhanced Sensitivity to "Off"

Correction - I was referring to the "Sharpness" setting in the "DI Enhanced" menu.

I have read that increasing the Chart Speed above 3 also works to get rid of the gremlin lines with the DI Sharpness set to On ...
