Everytime I spotlock, it asks me whether I want to save or discard. Even if I already saved it with the iPilot remote. I'm finding this a HUGE aggravation as the head unit needs attention every time I spot lock. Which may be several times in quick succession. Any way to turn off this option?

Nothing? :( This makes me a very sad panda.

I can't help you with the spotlock because I run Fortrex ...
I know there are several here that run iPilot ... But they may all be fishing ...
Maybe Greg will have some info when he checks in Monday ...

Monday? Why not today!
I have forwarded your question on to someone else massillonbuckeye as i don't think it can be turned off.

I would start with the latest updates on Onix then the ipilot link controller and then the remote. If you have checked all those and they are the latest you may need to call HB. When you press spotlock on either the remote or your Onix it should save the spotlock the same as any waypoint but using the anchor symbol. It should keep you close to that spot with no further action. Bob

It saves, but then it asks to save it again. The bigger issue is needing action at the head unit every single time you spot lock. I don't want to have to run around the boat every time I cancel a spotlock just to see my sonar etc. My only fix for now is to keep the trolling motor disconnected from the head unit. But then I lose the follow the contour capabilities and everything else. Ugh. Thanks for passing that on Greg. I hope they can make that an option because as it stands, its severely detracting from my fishing experience. This stuff is supposed to make it more enjoyable!
So you need to either save or discard the spot lock on the head unit EVERY time you do it. I'm not real sure why they'd even make that an option? Again, if I want to save the spot lock, let me decide on a per case basis instead of having the unit force the decision every single time.

There should be no asking to save the spotlock. It will ask if you want to save an itrack or not. Like I said it should save the spotlock just like a waypoint. By the way, there is a new Onix release with a mess of bug fixes.

I installed 2.3 if that's what you are referring to. No change. I unplugged the TM from the head unit. That fixed it!
I also have a new issue.. 2D sonar stopped working. It was always really laggy, like the unit doesn't have the processing power for the RTS data. But now it tries for a couple seconds, then "blacks outs". Even does it in Demo mode. super laggy 2d then gives up and blacks out the screen. Going to make another thread I guess. Ugh!

Yep. At first they wanted to send a transducer which I didn't really think was the problem so upon further testing, I noticed it was doing the same thing in Simulation mode. Doesn't seem to do it when the RTS window is inactive. I always thought the RTS data looked "laggy" on this unit. Not smooth, but it worked. Not it seems it just gives up. So with that info, they wanted me to send the head unit in for repair which I'm doing on Monday. LeMitchell also seemed interested in testing out my issue with the spotlock asking to save after every move. If that screen would just go away after like 5-10 seconds, I'd be fine. As it stands, I'm unplugging the unit from the trolling motor to prevent that screen from driving me crazy. :)
