I'm adding a Helix 5 DI to the bow, and want to mount an XTM 9 DI 25 T transducer on my Terrova 55 US2.
There's not much room on the motor, and I'm not sure of the length of the transducer, but if there is any 'wiggle room,' should I mount it toward the front, the center, or the prop? I ask because it seems that either the fin, or the prop, might interfere with the DI cone? I've attached a pic of the Terrova motor (I hope).
Also, I had the HBird ferrite ring installed on the US2...will it be OK to install that on the XTM DI transducer cable?
TIA

RivRunR,
the XTM-9-DI-25-T transducer is only about 4 inches long. I would think that you would have plenty of room on that trolling motor for it. The DI beam is not very wide from front-to-back (it is wide left-to-right though) so that should not be a problem.

Thanks Greg.
Will the ferrite choke be ok to use on the XTM-9-DI-25-T?

Yes, if you need it. I would try it without it first.

Thanks Greg!

The MK 55 has fin on the front of motor.... gives protection for TD. Plenty of room.

Good to know, thanks for the info.

So I'm mounting the Helix DI on the bow to replace my 596HD, and it occurred to me that maybe I could leave the 596 for 2D, and just add the Helix for DI?
Both transducers on the trolling motor, the 596 on the US2, and the Helix right behind it on the XTM 9 DI. Will they crosstalk if the Helix is running DI frequencies only? I know that some other models continue to ping everything and just don't display it.

The HELIX 5 DI unit cannot run just the DI sonar, it will still be pinging the 200kHz 2D sonar too, so there will be a chance of sonar cross-talk.
