Title: 997C UPDATES

Hi everyone
I have A 997c SI and I have never updated the software on the unit.
It has its original version 3.940 I found version M997.4_750.bin on this website.
Is it the latest version and is it safe to download it without the versions in between?

Hi trickyric and welcome to the forum,

according to Humminbird, there is no need to download the "in between" updates. The latest update includes all the previous updates.

You can either download the update from here or use the update file from HB's website.
BUT:
Before you update, RESET TO FACTORY DEFAULTS!! Some units have problems after the update if they haven't been reset prior to the update.

Follow it step by step and you should be good to go.
