I have all my updates inc.HPC and for my 898c. I got a new map so used forced sim. to make some about 20 new WPs. Using HPC I noticed all the new points were dated 2008-06-14. Even some of my old WPs were dated the same, even though I didn't get the unit till 2011. So please tell me if I did any wrong and if it can be corrected?

Not sure why some of your old waypoints would be dated the same, but the waypoints you marked when using the Simulator mode (forced or automatic) would take on the date from the simulated GPS Receiver which must be June 14, 2008.
Not simple but you can change the dates to the current date by using HumminbirdPC to make a duplicate of the waypoint, deleting the original and renaming the duplicate one (it will have the same name plus (01) or (02),... behind the original name. You could also delete the original waypoints and type them into HumminbirdPC again.

So all the first suggestion is doing is changing the name of the all the new wps at once so I am reminded that those wps have the wrong dates???

No. It is just one way to have the same waypoint data but with the current date that you do this. It does add “(01)” to the end of the name so you would need to edit these waypoints one by one to get them to be what you have now, except with a more up-to-date date for them.

Sorry Greg, I didn't carefully read your answer previously. Ok I copied the wps to a new folder, but I don't see that the names or dates have changed. I guess you're going to have be specific on how I do this.

You will have to view them in HumminbirdPC. Select the waypoint you want to duplicate and right click it. One of the options should be "Duplicate".

Right!! I've never had to "duplicate" before. THANX, BOB
