Title: Humviewer issue
Post by: joe p from mo on March 05, 2010, 03:40:52 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Was able to get out for awhile and try the DI. I had a bunch of recordings that look great on the unit and when I did them, but in the humviewer there appeared to be a bunch of interference. I went back and took a pic off of my 997 and as you can see, it is much clearer. Any ideas??

Increase contrast and decrease brightness, or only decrease of brightness will remove some of the interference in the Humviewer image. If I have got this correct Humviewer use an "uncensored" raw recording with no noise filtering, while your unit probably does a lot of odd things with data before they are shown in the image.

Yep Rickard
You are correct about HumViewer showing the data unfiltered.
I would also recommend playing with the contrast and brightness.

Thanks for the response.  I have one more question.  In the past I did not have this issue with recordings and I am using the same set-up basically??? so I find it odd that I have interference now?
