Im currently running a798 and 998. I just ordered the Terrova 112 w/link. I need to know if I need to buy any other cables to link it to my units to get the most out of my tm. Also is anything need to use it with lakemaster other than a card of course.

Hook. You will need an ethernet adapter cable for the 788 is it is to be hooked to the link. the 998 already has the connector that will plug into the cable that comes with the link. If you are to have both units and the link all networked together the you will also need the ethernet switch and an additional ethernet cable. Bob
Note: your 788 needs to be ethernet capable. (788 HD)
I just noticed you show 5.7 for software. you will need newer software than that for the link.

bob I have the 798 hd unit and 998 its been a couple of years since I been on this site but my software for both my units are updated as of 03/05/15 but my profile on this site has not I need to that. I already have the 798 &998 networked together so is all I need is the eithernet switch? When you say switch do you mean 5 port eithernet switch that I have seen on line?

Yes on 5 port ethernet switch. Just a reminder, you need to hook 12v power to the ethernet switch. Have it hooked up so you can power it off. It draws current enough to drain your battery in 2 to 3 weeks if not powered off. I used one of the aux circuits so when I turned off the master switch it would turn off the 5 port switch. Bob
Additionally you will need a 2nd ethernet cable(both units need a separate cable)

I still don't understand why HB calls this network hub a "switch" ...
