Title: linking 1198 to 859ci.

can they be linking and what would i need to do.  I would only be linking these two things and nothing else,  mainly looking to share waypoints.

All you are going to need is an Ethernet adapter cable for the 859 and an Ethernet cable long enough to reach the 2 units.

The Ethernet cable connects directly to the back of the 1198, so no adapter is necessary.  On the 859, one end of the Ethernet adapter will be in the cable collector and the other end of the adapter will connect to the Ethernet cable.
