Title: marking waypoint on side imaging
Post by: graggy on February 17, 2015, 07:03:56 AM
I have an 898 hummingbird si and a friend told me I could see something on the side imaging and mark a waypoint for it even if I wasn't over top off it. If this is possible can someone tell me how to do this? Thanks

Yes it is possible.
When you see something in the Si sonar that you want to mark with a waypoint; simply activate the cursor and move it over the object and kit the MARK button.  Most find better accuracy by placing the waypoint at the base of the structure where it connects to the bottom and/or following up with the 2D sonar and marking a waypoint that way.
