Title: Approx. value of a used 1197

Hi All,
I am selling my 2009 Model 1197 and would like a handle on what it is worth. Will come with cabling, GPS antenna and the hi-def transducer. Great unit served me well.

I am a novice user and do not have much experience.  However, I have purchased a couple of new units.  Considering the age and the obsolescence, if I were interested in buying it, I would consider offering around $500.  Please don't be offended.  I am just offering my opinion.

You can look on ebay, and look at "Sold Listings" to get a gauge of what used units are selling for.

Used 1198's are selling for around $1,450-1,550.
Used 1197's are selling closer to $1,100-1,300.

Thanks guys.

My gut told me $1,000 to $1,200. I believe it's fair considering it's the biggest unit made (and size really matters with sonar) plus a 50 channel GPS antenna, cabling, hi-def 'ducer as opposed to the regular 'ducer and the Navionics chip for Upper Northeast.

Yep, right in the ballpark of what they're going for on ebay.
