Not sure if I'm in the right place or not but here goes. Thinking about getting a minnkota ultera. I have two birds. 899 and 859. The ultera comes ether ilink or i pilot. Which would be better for my set up. I have know clue what ether is so any help will be greatly appreciated.

The i-Pilot Link interfaces to HB control heads - the STD i-Pilot does NOT.
Go to Minn Kota site & READ UP.

Ok thanks. Been a fisherman my whole life get some technology and completely lost. Hahahaha just getting with the times I guess

I read that there may be a recall on the ultera
-
Bob,where did you read that? Bob
I have been looking around. There seems to be a couple things that are holding up production and the few units that have shipped will have to be replaced. An FCC thing and some kind of locking issue. No official recall or comment from Minn Kota yet . Sources crappie.com and bbc
